Trail was packed out the whole way to Flume (yay!). When I started up, the trail to Flume Slide was not broken out, but I noticed that at least one person had gone that way by the time I returned. The ridge trail to Lincoln, however, remains unbroken (as of noon today, anyway).
The Liberty Spring trail is in good shape, but I definitely needed my snowshoes. I saw only a couple of hikers in spikes, and they were struggling — people in snowshoes were making better time with much less effort. The trail is very fluffy and covered in loose powder. There’s a very large hole in the trail right before the summit of Flume; it’s very visible now but another storm could conceal it, so take care. |
