Comments
Comments: Moat Mountain Trail was packed out up to the junction with the Red Ridge Trail, lots of boot traffic up to Diana's Bath later in the day. We followed some ski tracks up Red Ridge Trail through the two snowmobile trail crossings, after that it was 100% breaking trail. Tough going up the steep climb in the woods, easier once we reached the ledges which were firmer snow and crusty ice. A lot of drifting along the ridge at the higher elevations, some "cement snow" getting caked onto the snowshoes as temps warmed up. Fun glissading down the Moat Mountain Trail from the summit. We rejoined a packed out trail shortly after the Attitash Trail junction. Beautiful day, started chilly but warmed up to 30 or so by the time we got back to the car. Should be a reasonably packed out loop now from two sets of snowshoes.
