| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We had to check out both legs of Noyes Rd before finding a place to park.
1. From Rt 145 we traveled a very short distance on Bear Rock Rd before taking Noyes Rd going E. At the point where the town plow stopped there were signs prohibiting parking. From here Noyes Rd was plowed narrow for 1 vehicle. We returned to Rt 145.
2. From Rt 145 we followed Bear Rock Rd. a few miles to the E where the eastern end of Noyes Rd. meets Bear Rock Rd. There was a nice place to park at the jct of Noyes Rd and Bear Rock Rd.
The part of Bear Rock Rd. that we traveled is suitable for all vehicles - the southern end is not. |

| Comments: |
From the car, we walked down a well plowed Noyes Rd to the second driveway where we "lost" the road. It appeared that the road went behind a house - but it didn't.
We were dumbfounded for a while until we saw a road sign, in the distance, in the snow covered field. In winter both the driveway and the road appear to be the same at this point.
We put on our snowshoes and traveled the snowmoed road. As soon as the road enters the woods, both sides of it are line with thick spruce/fir. At approx 1 mile from the car, we started the bw in open young hardwoods with easy to moderate grades. The recognized high point is easily found.
breaking conditions - 8-10" in powder
grades - mostly easy, some moderate
vegetation density - wide open woods
