Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We drove on Creampoke Rd for 1.5 mi to a private snomo parking lot where the plowed road significantly narrowed. We drove into the parking lot to discuss the next step. Soon a truck stopped asking if we needed help. We explained that we wanted to hike Mudget Mt. Unbelievably, the man in the truck was a resident of the area and currently working on his NH48 in winter. He told us to follow him to a parking spot. We drove another mile to his friend's camp where he told us to park in the yard. I offered to pay him for the help but he refused. He warned us that the Mudget summit was a disappointment due to the construction on top - a NH Electric Coop. antenna that reads electric meters. There is no roadside parking on the upper portion of Creampoke. Creampoke suitable for 4WD and AWD vehicles, and probably FWD also.

Comments
Comments: From the car we walked a very short distance on Creampoke Rd before turning on a wide plowed Mudget Rd. Here a sign read "PRIVATE ROAD" but did not discourage travel. We followed Mudget Road to its jct with Haines Rd.(Haines Rd. discouraged travel) where there was room for a car - not sure if somebody could have objected to a car being parked there. We continued on Mudget Rd until we reached a clearcut where we started a very short bw to the summit. The summit has a tower-like wooden structure with an antenna. The area is littered with machinery in various conditions. We did not see any POSTED signs.
We did not walk on the last 0.1 mile of Mudget Rd leading to the summit building. Assuming there are no POSTED signs on that last piece of road, it would have been possible to drive all the way from Rt 145 to the Mudget summit.
