Comments
Comments: Started bw behind town hall. We initially found scratchy woods, then a short duration of thicker, sprucy woods, and then wide open hardwoods. Recognized summit easily found on second summit bump.
Woods to the N and E and S appeared to be wide open.
breaking conditions - 8-10" powder
grades - moderate to steep to get started, then easy
vegetation density - scratchy, a bit thick to get started, then open hardwoods

We believe we should have followed our original plan which was to ascend by Ben Young Hill Rd. since the N side of the mountain appeared to be wide open.
