Comments
Comments: Great day for this 3K bushwhack. I went up from trails end along the falls thru occasional ice and deep snow - quite steep until crossing left at the top of the falls. AWESOME ice formations, pools, and water in the falls!!!! At the top of the falls I set the compass to due east and stuck to it. Woods reasonable open, but, a few areas thick. Pretty flat, so, finding the route uphill required just trusting the compass and avoiding the false summits. Snow was FAIRLY supportive (I wore snowshoes above the falls). Punched thru about 10% of the time and hit a dozen or so spruce/rock traps that were DEEP. Still got pretty scratched. AWESOME anyway!!!!
