Glad I checked the weather yesterday and noticed the pristine conditions forecasted for a day with the presidential range. We decided to hit up Monroe and Washington and were not disappointed. Snowshoes were definitely the best choice up ammo to the hut. After that spikes, crampons, or snowshoes all worked. Snowshoes on the skiable part of the cog route were the better choice. Can’t complain at all about an epic day bagging Washington and Monroe for winter. :) |
