Snowshoes all the way. Got an early start at 7am, and would recommend doing that as the trail is hard in the morning, and starting to get soft by noon. I had a little bit of balling under the snowshoes in the afternoon. My poles weighed more, as the baskets kept picking up clumps as well.
Basically there's a real good monorail, and a good base. Down low, the top inch is not fully consolidated. Up higher, there's more like two to three inches in play.
Saw two people all day. Nice to talk to John at the summit.
Quite the views this time. #31 for the old man.
