Comments
Comments: Our original plan was to hike up and down Pine Bend Brook Trail but we changed plans and decided to head back on Sabbaday Brook Trail when we saw that it was broken out by one hiker. Microspikes were fine for the first 2.1 miles of the hike as the trail was hard packed. After that we opted for snowshoes as the televators came in handy on the steep sections. We saw only one other hiker the entire day and he was using microspikes. Going down the upper part of Sabbaday Brook Trail was a challenge due to the steepness, the previous hiker resorted to butt sledding so we followed suit. I would recommend using our same route up and down. We were lucky to find someone at the Sabbaday Picnic parking lot who gave us a ride back to our car, saving us a mile walk back to the car.
