Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 8 of ten were snow bridged. Two smaller crossings ear the top had some open water. but easy to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: in the last 1.5 miles there are 10-12 blowdowns. 3-4 crawl under, 2-3 step overs and the rest you can walk around. Some of the blowdowns were quite large 24" diameter which we crawled under. Perhaps with no snow, there can easily be walked under.

Comments
Comments: After seeing Notch and Pumba's posting from Saturday, I recruited two others to join me for an attempt to break out the rest of Downes Brooke trail. We easily followed the tracks up past the 7th stream crossing and saw where they turned around. We continued on and took about 2 hours to break the last 1.5 miles or so. We were glad to see the Kate Sleeper trail had been recently broken out and we scampered up to the summit and then back to the ledges for a late lunch. Returning was still challenging in the sticky snow conditions. A long day but a good adventure.

I am not sure how this will help after the next storm but at least there will be an indentation for those to follow and the blowdown report will help the trail adopters.
