Comments
Comments: It was a wintry day today, although mostly sleeting at the 11am start it quickly changed to all snow. There was 1-2 inches of snow to start, increasing to 8-10 inches at higher elevations. The sleet quickly changed to all snow and you could really here the wind whipping hard through the trees and we expected to get pushed around on Liberty. Luckily there was a bit of a lull and when we were on the Liberty Summit, the winds were very light. This was not the case on Flume where we got blasted. We didn’t stay long. On the hike out, many of our earlier trail breaking efforts were already erased. You will definitely need snow shoes.
