Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: First crossing on The Shaw Trail, easy to rock hop. Trail near bottom of Bald Knob Trail was flooded but there were branches placed on the side to get across.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails were in good shape. A couple of big blowdowns near the top of Bald Knob involved ducking under and going around or over. Trails are well marked. Our map shows the route down from Bald Knob on the BKTrail to be white, but it was blazed blue.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one dog coming down from Bald Knob as we ascended. There is plenty of water for them.
Bugs
Bugs: Blackflies were swarming but not biting on the Bald Knob Trail coming down. Only bugs of the day.

Comments
Comments: Felt like we had the Ossipees to ourselves. Saw a few people on Bald Knob but for the rest of our hike we were alone. Awesome views. Moose sign on Black Snout was impressive!. Scat (lots) all the saplings eaten to same level, and herd paths everywhere. Great area with basically snow free trails.
