Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The logging situation at the TH has been well documented throughout the season. However, based on a variety of information sources I was under the impression that it was okay to drive to the TH and park there on Sundays only where there is no logging operation taking place. However, this information/perception/impression is WRONG. Today I got a call from the USFS Law Enforcement office. I'll skip the details (they are not good!) but just re-iterate that the "No access" applies at all times. If anyone needs further details feel free to email me.

Comments
Comments: No - this was not just an attempt. Bob and I got the peaks all right. I'm just trying to call attention to the parking/access issues described above. Do NOT repeat my mistake.

All trails broken out but not consolidated. A big thank you to the Saturday group (whoever they are) that broke out the trails all the way to The Horn. Tracks were drifted over in many places (incl. right at the summit of Mt. Cabot where I almost missed them and re-considered even attempting The Bulge and The Horn) but they were sufficiently clear to provide great guidance. The group did a superb job navigating the (in current conditions) very difficult section from Mt. Cabot to the Horn.
