| Water Crossing Notes: |
At what appears to be the first major crossing of the Rocky Branch, veer right and uphill. Don't cross there. Follow the tracks up and avoid the useless crossing which repeats about 100 yards upstream. When you get to where there looks like a giant boulder in the stream, again follow the track.
The real crossing isn't going to be around much longer. |

| Comments: |
Led a group of 10 Saturday and a group of 4 Sunday. Made fresh track Saturday, tramped it down really well. Was soft and a little churned Saturday afternoon. Sunday blessed us with ideal conditions. Sidewalk flat, firm enough to bare boot the entire way up and back. Not particularly slippery. We tramped the bushwhack significantly. It's very easy to follow and has very little in the way of divergent spurs. Saturday was moderately cold, pretty windy especially on the summit. Sunday was about the same temperature and almost no wind with the sun shining on our happy faces most of the day.
Many thanks to all the members of our group who came together and helped make another outing great! Till next time, happy trails. |
