Trailwork trip with the Chocorua Mountain Club (CMC). Cleared 10 blowdowns and dug drainages on Weetamoo. All of Hammond trail now clear! Massive blowdown tangles (~50 in total). Chainsaws the tool of the day. |

A great day with the Chocorua Mountain Club (CMC), a group with deep roots on the lake and mountain. Four of us tackled Weetamoo and met up with a group coming up from Hammond. All took on the area above the Weet/Hammond junction which was reported to have massive blowdows. With the help of a former USFS fire sawyer/crew boss on the big saw, all were dispatched. |
