Comments
Comments: Solid ice (but not monorail) all the way up to top of the Cherry Mtn Tr junction with occasional patches of bare ground and postholes (in snow) around blowdowns. Coming down this way requires good footwork but full crampons would be overkill. Martha's Mile is monorail with postholes where people have fallen off. It was cold today, so I could see the trail softening up and requiring snowshoes if it warms up. My snowshoes came for the ride today. Lots of cars in the lot today, much to my surprise. Saw 9 other people in 4 groups.
