|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Jackson Hill, Hubbard Hill, NH|
|Date of Hike:
||Sunday, March 22, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of parking at the intersection of Faxon Hill Road and King Road/Street, in Washington, NH. King Road/Street is posted for mud season -- it might have been drive-able very early in the morning, but it was quite soft/muddy later in the day. |
||Dry Trail, Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
||Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Not an issue. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Some deadfall here and there, but nothing that cannot be cleared by dragging or cutting with a small hand saw. |
||None, but we anticipated an occasional tick. |
|Lost and Found:
||We figured that the higher peaks would be crowded today, so we opted for a quiet, secluded, and mostly bare-bootable walk.|
We were rewarded with beautiful, warm weather, great trail conditions, and nary a soul seen except for couple of folks walking dogs on King Road/Street.
Entire route is easy, with light traction useful on just a few sections of thin ice on shaded slopes.
