Comments
Comments: Barebooted occasionally icy snomo corridor 112 (travels partly on Coon Brook Rd.) to approx 2300' WSW of Big Bog Brook Mt. Short bw to recognized highpoint. No breaking, with low flotation snowshoes, on a crunchy surface in wide open hardwoods. Followed tracks back to snomo trail and then down trail to 1940'- point where snomo trail makes a wide bulge to the N. Started bw here on direct line to Unknown Pond Mt. A thick stand of firs at the SE corner of the pond marsh was easily skirted. Recognized high point found.
bw surface conditions on 100% snow cover: no breaking, on a crunchy surface, wearing low flotation snowshoes
vegetation: clearcuts, wide open hardwoods, one spot of easily avoidable thick firs
grades: always easy
