Comments
Comments: Following several previous reports we parked on Cummings Pond Road. There is a large sign at the last driveway indicating the turnaround just ahead. We then walked the remaining portion of the road to a 'T'. Turning right we followed a series of logging roads for about .5 mile, picking what looked the driest and most supportive base heading in the direction we wished to go. The sun had not yet softened the crust so we were able to bare boot until starting the whack. Upon reaching the Quimby MBT (see the Green Woodlands Foundation website) we followed this to it's HOL and an intersection with the Norris Hill MBT. At the next major intersection we put on our snowshoes and entered the mostly open woods heading to the recognized summit. We were in no hurry today so we basically retraced our steps using snowshoes all the way back to the 'T' intersection as we were now in Spring conditions.
