Comments
Comments: Cabin and Lawrence out-and-back to avoid the most rugged and dangerous trails due to current events. Ascending, mostly muddy with some patchs of dry trail or snow on Cabin until the boundary with the Wilderness zone where it went to 80% snow, 10% dry, and 10% ice. After the intersection with Whitin Brook trail micro-spikes or snowshoes are highly recommended due to ice or slippery snow except for one section of Lawrence where it is dry.

The Paugus Pass section of Lawrence between Cabin and Kelley had not been broken out at all since the last snow fall four days earlier and I did not go there. Using micro-spikes, I post-holed about a half-dozen times each way on Lawrence. Saw one couple with a dog, one group of 5-6, and one solo hiker. Social distance maintained.
