Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found half of a moose jaw. Lost my Cannon Sure Shot camera right after taking a picture of the jaw. Put it in my pouch and it must have fallen out. I didn't realize it for about 3/4 of a mile when I wanted to get a photo of the Franconia Ridge. We backtracked all the way back to the summit and searched everywhere we thought we covered. Gave up after about an hour of searching.

Comments
Comments: This is a wonderful conservation area managed by the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust. Thank you to all the land owners that donated property for all to enjoy. From the parking area we walked up the continuation of Dyke Road (Class VI) to a log landing where there is a gate on the right which is the beginning of the Pink Loop Trail. At the first junction we followed it clockwise to get us to the Blue Trail leaving on the left. We decided to do a clockwise loop using the Blue Trail and returning on the Pink Loop Trail. Going clockwise is a steeper route so if you want to have an easier climb use these two trails counterclockwise. Our short bush whack started at the HOL of the Blue Trail. The summit is fairly wide and flat in open woods so be sure to hit all of the little bumps for the recognized high spot. This was a perfect little hike to gain one of the NH500 easy peaks. It would have been a perfect morning if not for one thing (see Lost and Found). Thanks KLM for bearing with me.
