Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The sketchy bog bridge near the trailhead was submerged by 1" at the start, but over water in the afternoon. The other brooks were easily rock-hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A guide book mentions small cairns on the spur trail, but I didn't see any. Perhaps they are so small as to be buried by the snow.

Comments
Comments: Please bring snowshoes. There is only 2" of snow down low, but after the first mile the snow suddenly becomes over a foot deep. Due to drifting, there are bare spots on some of the open ledges up top, but there are also places of over 3' of powder. All day, I saw one other snowshoer and one bare-booter. The latter was consistently leaving one-foot post holes during the ascent, with occasional knee or thigh-deep holes near the summit. He did fare a little better on the descent due to the trail being packed down a bit by the snowshoers by then.
