Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking at the lodge was adequate today. It could be crowded on a Saturday or Sunday

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few small streams easily crossed. One stream on Manning was still bridged.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trails are in generally good condition. One very bad blowdown on Vistamont on the steeps going up Orange Mountain that requires a bushwhack, another just above that one that can be squeezed by. Another on Skyland that has to be worked through.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: It is my understanding that dogs are supposed to be on a leash. I saw two that weren't. There are ledges. Experienced dogs won't have a problem with them.
Bugs
Bugs: As it warmed up the bugs came out. There was enough wind on the top to keep them away. It was cool when we left the car in the morning but the bugs were terrible there when we got back.
