Comments
Comments: This was a difficult hike for many reasons. See all the other comments about bare ground at the start, but then...

Tons of snow up higher. There was the occasional track, but I find it hard to believe that someone has been out to Iso lately.

The Engine Hill BW is really high, but I avoided many sink holes/open water, etc, AND it comes out almost by the one necessary water crossing. By the time I came back, most of my tracks had already been filled with blowing snow, so my meandering path will soon disappear anyway.

The Rocky Branch trail from the water crossing to the Davis Path is like a trough with both standing and running water. I managed to trudge alongside it, thanks to a (mostly) supportive crust. But this crust would let loose occasionally making my progress look like that of a drunk.

Davis Path all snow/ice and easy to follow.

I was so exhausted by the time I got home last evening, I didn't even have enough energy to write this report.
