Water Crossing Notes: All I'm gonna say about that is it's mud season. Oh my, is it mud season...
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Proctor Academy end of the trail was in amazing shape -- some sections, it felt like someone ran ahead of me and raked the footpath immediately before I got there. The rest of the trail was still in fine condition. Ample blazes, easy to navigate.

Bugs: Yes, unfortunately. At times, mosquitos. All other times, black flies.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Yet another in a series of low-level stuff. It's been fun, I can say that for absolute sure. A lot of mountains with short drives to and from, with amazing views near and far. Today, I spied the Whites, from Moosilauke to Washington, and the Green Mountains from about Mt Snow up to around Killington. If some of the mountains in New Hampshire didn't get in the way, I'd have seen clear into Maine. And if the mountain were just a tad higher, Massachusetts would have been in view, too. Closer to my feet, there were ferns unspooling, alpine bluets, and painted trilliums starting to bloom. It was just that awesome of a day to be outside.

Photos and a more detailed write up are on my blog.
