Excellent hike- beautiful weather and no crowds. There was some on and off monorail around 2600 ft I did put micros on for a bit but they quickly came off and didn't go back on until about a 1000 feet before the viewpoint. The monorail is still quite thick and narrow. Above the cabin there is approximately 3.5 feet of snowpack and disintegrating monorail trail was a litle tough to follow at this point but found summit np. Snowshoes along for the ride. The cabin is as shabby chic as ever with books and beverage.. I passed 7 hikers today it was nice chatting with a few. |
