Comments
Comments: Started hiking up FR 166 which was pretty clear and wide. Evidence of logging or ATV traffic. Came to an overgrown snowmobile trail (FR 166B unsigned) which seemed to be heading towards the col between Cilley and Grandview so took it. Overgrown but easy to follow except the further we went the muddier it got. Came to a clearing perpendicular to the summit of Mt. Cilley, Saw a snowmobile trail heading in that direction so took that. Followed the trail moderately uphill until it finally disappeared. Continued through pretty nice woods to the flat summit of Cilley. Walked the summit until we spotted the jar. Spruce got a little thick the closer to the summit we got. Decided to take a more direct route towards Elbow Pond Road so followed the shoulder towards Elbow Pond and a trail on the map. Pretty steep and bouldery in spots. Very deep leaves, too. Managed to come out just past the marshy area on the map and soon found the Elbow Pond trail which goes along the pond edge all the way back to the road (FR 156 Elbow Pond Road). Easy road walk back to our car.
