This is a gem. The trail ascends gently through the forest until the final 300', then it's a fun climb up rock stairs and dirt trail to the ledge. The trail is muddy but there are lots of stepping stones to help keep your boots dry. The views from the ledge are amazing.
This is moose country and there's a ton of evidence!
I'd recommend wearing boots rather than trail runners so as to walk through the unavoidable sections of mud. This trail is lovely and it would be a shame to trample down the edges by walking around the mud. |
