Comments
Comments: This is a terrific "backside" approach to Jackson using Barney Brook Trail, now an official segment of the MSG. There's quite a descent down to the brook crossing, then some fairly steep climbing up to the summit. Footing is soft and smooth the whole way though. 2.1 mi. to the summit from the parking spot, but it goes by fairly quickly due to the easy walking. The trail ends just north of the summit. Good views today, but hampered somewhat by overcast skies. However, the forecast showers never materialized.
