The main gate for Pillsbury State Park on NH 31 in Washington is still closed; we parked outside of it at the entrance to the access road. State Parks staff is currently preparing the park for a reopening. |

We had originally planned on getting some elevation within the park, but the humidity made us opt for lowland walking. The access road is dry and dusty. Mad Road Trail was dry, but lots of red efts are out so watch your step! We also took a side trip to visit campsite 40, one of the most remote. Great spot! |
