Signal Ridge Parking lot had 17 cars there today, more than half out-of-state plates. For a Thursday, this seemed busy. |

After debating with myself about where I would leave the trail to bushwhack, I opted to hike the trail to a flat spot north of the peak, which gave me a nice moderate southerly bushwhack climb through easy woods to the summit and jar. I dropped off the peak a bit more direct to the east, woods were fine but the terrain was steeper.
In the end, whether you elect to bw from the east or from the north, the woods are fine. You just have to decide on whether you want steep terrain or more moderate terrain. |
