| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the entrance to Lovell Mt Road. There's room for three cars. I was #3. But plenty of space in turnouts along Halfmoon Pond Road and at the boat launch. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
One small crossing at the Northern end of the trail at Halfmoon Pond Road. Barely a trickle. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
This trail is in excellent shape. Thanks go out to the MSGTC trail keepers. There is one recent blowdown on the Northern part of the trail not far above the cellar holes. A dead pine tree. Many sharp spikes to avoid if you try to crawl over it. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Great dog hike. |
|
| Bugs: |
Surprisingly not too bad. Granted I was basted in Coleman's 40% DEET. Nice breeze at the summit and on the descent kept the bugs moving. Mostly black flies and mosquitoes. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
On the Northern end there is a nice red bandana tied around a tree. Maybe fell off a dog? |
