I copied Summit Seeker's hike. Left a bike at Cherry Mountain Trail parking lot, then drove down to OwlsHead parking lot and hiked from there. Some mud on OwlHead trail, but rapidly drying out. Trail is a little brushy, I was glad when the trail started to climb as the first 20mins was buggier.
Cool hike, I'd say the effort required makes it a good tune-up for 4000 footers. Sat on the OwlsHead ledges an hour, enjoying the views and trying to identify the peaks. You can see the little stick towers on Mt. Washington, and I think you can see down into the Pemi,.. whichever ones they are, it's a unique and beautiful perspective.
I'm 63, and I hadn't rode a ten-speed since major eye surgery a couple years ago. Taking this loop CW like this, it's almost all downhill. I had forgotten you get a cool breeze riding bikes downhill, and with today's heat that was awesome!
