| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We used the parking area along Rt. 126 that's legit but not marked on a map. No one else there. Passed the advertised parking and saw several cars. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Drought -- no water to cross! But it would probably be OK in normal conditions. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The first 3/4 mile of Neil Mooers is a road/snowmobile trail. /Ugh!/ Largely overgrown but easy footing. Looks like there's a newish woodsy bypass. It and the Blue Link desperately need drainage structures -- there are none. Footing is still good, but it's easy to see where there will be problems in the future. All three trails need brushing. Blowdowns all OK. Once you leave the road all three trails are well blazed. Signs at junctions don't lead to the trailhead we used. That could make for a mile long walk along Rt. 126 if you get confused. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
|
|
| Bugs: |
Nasty flies along the road, but not bad once you get into the woods. No skeeters! Probably ticks along the road in wetter times. |

Neil Mooers Trail from the southeastern trailhead, Blue Link, Spencer Smith Trail
Have GPX tracks for all three trails. None of the maps I found online show the woodsy bypass towards the upper end of the Neil Mooers Trail road section. There's a cairn where you leave the road to enter the welcome woods. We appreciate the recent reports in NHTC! |
