Very little water , we could use some rain. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I’m posting this report mostly to thank the trail maintainers. Trail is in great shape. It was obvious that someone has put some time in with a saw removing blow downs . Thank you!!! |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Only saw one at the summit of Osceola, they didn’t continue to East peak. If I had a dog, I would carefully consider the chimney section based on a pup’s ability. |
|
| Bugs: |
Plenty of black flies joined us after the sun rose on Osceola. Who knew that they would love the views too? |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Nothing, no trash today even. |

Great plan to beat the heat and assure easy parking was to get up there before sun up. Besides 2 younger folks who passed us on the way up, we only shared the trip up with about 10 toads. Sat up top for about 90 mins watching the sky show and eating breakfast. Afterward, we hiked over to the East peak to complete these two summits for our 4 seasons patch. Trails are in great shape with evidence of recent trailwork with a saw. Plenty of folks on their way up on our trek down. Cars parked all along Tripoli road. Camping is still not open along Tripoli road. |
