Comments
Comments: Isolation was on my short list to complete the 48. Definitely an epic hike!! Views were absolutely worth the burning muscles from the distance and elevation gains. Late start on the day, almost had me returning via the more moderate Rocky Branch trail and walking the additional 4 miles (no car spot) rather than scrambling on boulders in the dark. Luckily I was persuaded to stay the course, and not only make the parking lot by night fall, but got to enjoy the spectacular views with the sun lower in the horizon. Best hike ever!
