|Date of Hike:
||Sunday, June 28, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Horseshoe Road. Not very busy at all. |
||Dry Trail |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Large Maple blowdown on the north end of Reservoir Tr., one blowdown/deadfall area on Parker Tr., North Pond Spur is getting overgrown. |
||mosquitoes were very bad. I really had to keep moving as even quick stops were met with swarms. |
|Lost and Found:
||Big loop with some random trail-bagging out/backs to junctions. I bushwhacked the highpoint of the peak called North Round Pond Hill on peakbagger.com. The peak is very close to the trail. I climbed Pisgah from the south end and then bushwhacked down to the east to pick up Reservour Tr. |
Pisgah State Park seems to be quite any time I've visited. The many ponds and swamps on this route likely contributed to the relentless mosquitoes.
