The lemonade at Zealand Springs Hut was great. Had a couple of 11 year old boys with us and this was a tough and rewarding hike for them. A couple of Gray Jays at the summit, however, they would not land on anyone's hand. Several garter snakes on the stone wall in front of the hut. Not much water in the falls, however the cold water felt great on sore feet. For the next week or two, Zealand Road is closed just past the drive for Sugarloaf II making reaching the Hale Brook or Zealand Trail walks much longer. |
