|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Monadnock, NH|
|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, July 2, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||The Poole Road and Old Toll Road entrances are by reservation only. See website for details. Note that the Dublin trailhead parking is tiny. Don't count on parking; have a backup plan. |
||Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Trail was in fine shape, top to bottom. |
|Lost and Found:
||It was a fine day out. The reservation restrictions are probably the best thing to happen to that park, because while the summit had a nominal crowd, it wasn't a huge sea of bodies as one would expect to find. Dublin trail itself is a hidden gem, and while it wasn't solitude, strictly speaking, I didn't pass a lot of people. |
Be aware that some of the rocks get quite slippery when wet, and certainly today, a lot of the slabs in the shady spots were quite sweaty. Other than that, it's a very enjoyable trail.
Pics and a more detailed trip report are on my blog, as always. Enjoy!
