In the small lot at the trailhead off Tripoli Rd. The road itself was a bit of a mess with illegal camping, cars obstructing traffic, and people just hanging out in the way. |

My first 4K in a while, and this was a good one for the iffy weather day. Mostly damp conditions with some slick rock and ledge near the top. The rain held off except for a brief shower at the summit. Some mud in spots, but minimal. The trail wasn't overly crowded, but we did pass a fair amount of people, some of whom weren't so good with the physical distancing. Zero views as the summit was in a cloud, but that's ok, it was nice to revisit this wilder and more enjoyable approach to this 4K which is technically a 3K now. ;) |
