Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: parking half full when I got there at 9AM. Full when I left, but there were still spots available along the road.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: one easy hop over at the trailhead.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in great shape. Somebody recently trimmed the spruce trees on the flat section near the top. Thank you to whoever you are -- your efforts are greatly appreciated. Not only did that remove the branches from hitting your face, but it made that part of the trail smell wonderful!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: only saw one all day. very well behaved.
Bugs
Bugs: mosquitoes mostly. I used repellent so they didn't really bother me. But a cloud formed if I stood still for more than 5 seconds.

Comments
Comments: Nice day to be on the trail. Weather was very nice and I had time to get in a quick hike up Mt. Tecumseh from the trailhead on Tripoli road.
Dirt section of Tripoli road is in pretty decent shape compared to other times I've been on it. Not many exposed rocks or washboard -- it's like an actual road.

Trail was wet (but not muddy) due to yesterdays rain and the morning fog/dew. Not a problem on the ascent, but conditions were slippery on the descent.

Combination of sunshine and early morning fog/dew provided some interesting visuals and I tried to capture some interesting pics. I post a couple shots at the link below.
