###93 North Paving project through Franconia Notch held me up for 20 minutes heading up this morning. Bangor Road parking always feels a little weird but no one else there today |

much water bar work evident down below and several blowdowns recently dealt with up above |

first day out for me really with blackflies and some skeets down below..not bad...just there |

| Comments: |
dry trail down below..some of the ledges wet in the morning but had dried out in the breeze on descent.. terrific views from this trail with presis in and out and nice looks to the north. Some mud and on and off monorail above 3800 feet..icy in places ..to stay on trail and protect moss we used spikes for a bit on descent. Excellent side ledge near summit and we explored a few other spots including the true summit of mt surprize..Nap time on Moriah summit ledges in light breeze warm air..pretty nice...good day out with Bryan..congrats on round 6... |
