 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One large blow down across trail located maybe 1/2 mile from trail head parking lot. Multi-branch crown of the tree is across the trail will require much cutting. Most of the branches are 4 to 5" diameter. I carry hand lopper which I used to fashion herd path bypass around. Otherwise trail is in great condition. |

 | Comments: |
This was 9-ish mile out & back. I didn't really go to summit, but simply ascended the ridge. I skipped loop by Three Ponds to avoid water hazards associated with Three Ponds due to recent heavy rains. On way out I went over the snow mobile trail climbs over a knob which supposedly replaces rough section of trail which is wet in spots. I elected to take the abandoned section trail on way back to avoid tedious climb over the knob. I found it was possible to avoid most of the wet spots bypassing to slightly higher ground through open woods. Old trail provides good view of wetlands as well. |
