Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked on Ravine Road and walked to the trail head. I arrived at 6:15am and there was only one vehicle there. When I left around noon, all parking was full.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings bridged and in good condition.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Beautiful trail and in great shape! Very wet, some dry rocks and some wet rocks, any mud was easily avoidable. My footwear was great and I did not have any issues with slipping. Two trees down heading up the George Brook, but easy to walk around.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one very happy doggo on the trail! She was speeding up the George Brook Trail!
Bugs
Bugs: Lots of bugs the entire hike! I sprayed on repellent as soon as I got out my car when I arrived and did not have any issues. Although they were swarming all around, they stayed away and I came out without a single bite!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing lost, nothing found.

Comments
Comments: This was such a beautiful hike! So green and wet in the trees (so pretty and peaceful, but I do recommend insect repellent), and then coming up out of the treeline to warm sunshine and absolutely gorgeous 360 views!!! I descended via Carriage Road, and took the short detour up to South Peak summit. In between this very quick jaunt from Moosilauke to South Peak clouds had moved in, but still worth checking out this bonus summit! I continued down Carriage Road to Snapper Trail back to the trail head. I started my hike around 7am, and on my ascent two other groups of two and a doggo came up after me (and passed me). On the way down there were a total of about 15 others on there way up via Carriage Road, and about 6 more when I was walking back to the parking lot. It was a nice, quiet, beautiful morning!
