Steady slog up the access road all the way to the height of land of Mount Rosebrook. Highpoint was a short bushwhack to a bump above the last ski lift. Headed back down the access road to a sign for West Mountain trails. Continued a short ways down the Agassiz ski trail to a hiking trail sign. entered the woods here and the trail soon joined the trail to Oscar (also appears to head towards Rosebrook but not sure where it starts or ends). This trail was very moderate and wooded and we were soon near the summit, passing an old cog rail car with a picnic platform surrounding it. Soon reached the ledges of Oscar's summit: awesome views! Descended the way we came up. |
