Curious if anyone else has ever made such a bonehead mistake, but I need Tom for August. I hiked Field and Willey once upon a time in August and for whatever reason never bagged Tom, so I thought to pick up that straggler today - except its not yet August! Well, I'll be back next month.
Regardless, it was a nice short hike and very enjoyable, temps in the upper 50s first thing this morning, and no bugs. Trail is in good shape. A little slick in places from some recent rain, but no real mud or water in the trail. Took the detour to check out Pearl and Beecher cascades, which I haven't done in a while, and they are worth the very short side trip. |
