Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A couple difficult crossing on Unknown Pond trail where you may get wet boots. Rocks under water on Bunnel crossing, but not bad with high tops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Pretty major blowdowns between Cabot peak and the cabin. Minor blowdowns scattered everywhere else.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Kya had a wonderful time. Plenty of water, as expected, the whole hike. Beware of moose on Unknown Pond trail.
Bugs
Bugs: Pretty terrible in the marshy areas. Deet worked.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Brought down a half of a black diamond poll from Cabot summit if anyone wants to own up to it ;)

Comments
Comments: The upper section of unknown pond trail was probably 20% moose droppings, not exaggerating. We didn't see any though, thankfully, because Kya could have chased. This tail was also extremely wet, as could be expected. We were able to keep our boots/socks dry. Camped out near the horn and had a great night. Tons of trillium, trout lily, blooming mountain laurel, and various other pink/purply/white ground wildflowers. Saw an amazing bunch of ladyslippers on unknown pond and another patch of them on bunnel. We didn't see one sign of snow or ice anywhere.
