There is a giant hornets nest right on Signal Ridge trail. If you're ascending it will be on the right side of a curve to the right shortly after the junction with Carrigain Notch trail. We saw some people get stung, this thing is a major hazard. |

Signal Ridge to Carrigain Notch, Shoal Pond, camped near Stillwater Junction, up Desolation, out Signal Ridge
Beware hornets nest! Great hike, this was definitely the road less traveled. Saw very few people until the summit. |
