Parking/Access Road Notes: It seems that the Howker ridge trail is little used. Appalachia was packed, the Howker Ridge lot had one car when we got there.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes: None were difficult 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails were in good shape with the exception of the Brookside trail. That stretch was a little rough.

Bugs: A few around, but not too pesky

Lost and Found: None seen or found 
 
Comments
Comments: This is a great route up Madison. The Howker Ridge Trail is one pleasant surprise after another. The Watson Path isn't the easiest way off Madison, but the views are good until the tree line.
The Kelton trail is well built and a very enjoyable woods walk.
