One crossing about 0.2 miles before Carrigain Notch splits from Signal Ridge. Can be done without removing shoes and rock hopping. |

As previously reported, copious moose sign on last mile of Carrigain Notch Trail (traveling in the counterclockwise direction) I happily did not actually see any moose.
Counterclockwise is a great plan to go up the steep climb of Desolation and then down the gentle switchbacks of Signal Ridge.
I mever came across the reported hornets nest. |
